Right of reply
The company’s response
Anything the company says in reply to this account will be published here, unedited.
§1
What was sent
What I put to them, and when
On 18 August 2026 I wrote to the director of Yacht-Match, by email, telling him this site existed and inviting a response. This is the letter as it was sent, with two names taken out:
I have published an account of what happened with the Lagoon 51 at yacht-match-review.com
I am writing for one reason only: to give Yacht-Match the chance to respond to it before anyone else reads it, and to say how that response will be handled.
What the site is. It sets out the sequence of events and the figures I am claiming. Every claim carries a mark showing whether a document supports it or whether it is my own estimate. Where a document underlies a statement but cannot be published, because it names people who are not party to this, the document is named and dated instead. A number of the documents relied on are ones Yacht-Match produced and sent to me.
What I am offering. If you, or anyone at Yacht-Match, wants to comment on the account, correct it, or set out your own version of events, send it to me and I will publish it in full and unedited on the right of reply page. I will not summarise it, shorten it, or select from it. You do not have to agree to anything, concede anything, or accept any of my figures in order to use that offer. It is not conditional on anything at all.
If something on the site is factually wrong, tell me what it is and why, and I will correct it and record what was changed and when. I would rather the account be accurate than complete, and there are already several things I have left off it because I could not support them.
The offer to publish your response has no expiry and stands whatever else happens. For the site’s own record, though, I will note here if I have not heard by 8 September 2026.
This letter is not a demand and asks nothing of you beyond an answer if you want to give one. Any question of settlement or of legal proceedings is separate from it and will be dealt with separately.
Please let me know whether you wish to respond.
Redaction. Two names are taken out above and nothing else is altered. The director is not named, for the same reason his name is masked in the email exhibits on the front page. The boat’s name is removed because it is kept off this site throughout, including from the documents reproduced on it. Both appeared in full in the letter he received.
§2
Their answer
What they said
Nothing so far.
If a reply arrives it will appear here in full, unedited and dated, whether it corrects me, contradicts me, or says something I would rather it did not. If nothing has arrived by 8 September 2026 that will be recorded here too.
§3
Standing offer
This offer stays open
If anyone at the company wants to correct something on this site or add their account, it will be published here in full. The contact form is on the front page.
